Teacher Staff Appreciation Week is being celebrated the week of February
13th -19th. Initiated by the Canadian Home and School Federation in 1988,
Teacher Staff Appreciation Week provides an opportunity for parents,
students and the whole community to recognize the important role that
teachers and support staff such as bus drivers, secretaries, custodians,
teacher assistants, and all other professionals in the education system, play
in the lives of our children.
Each provincial federation oversees Teacher Staff Appreciation Week in their
respective province and raises its awareness by distributing information on
promotional material and file ideas. Teacher Staff Appreciation Week has
been organized by Saskatchewan Association of School Councils, on behalf of
CHSF, since it's beginning eighteen years ago.
The Executive Committee and Board Members of CHSF wish to say "Thank you" to
all our teachers and staff,
and to express our sincere appreciation to you for everything that you do,
not only
during Teacher Staff Appreciation Week but throughout the entire year.
